Letter, October 20, 2003, from Roxana J. Naugle to Rep. Peter Zug, her daughter has lived in PA her whole life and went to a PA State college and moved to New York for a job. Her daughter wants to move back to Pennsylvania but cannot because she is not eligible to take any civil service examinations. She wants to know if he could help to get the language of secondary school changed so that it includes college education.

Peter Zug, she has had legislation drafted to amend the "Civil Service Act" which further defines residency requirements, making it possible for a person who attended high school and college or technical school in the state to be able to apply for a position within 5 years of graduating.

Press Release, April 12, 2004, the House approved Rep. Peter Zug's legislation to expand access to civil service employment in Pennsylvania. States that this is a way to get college graduates to stay in the state.
