Letter, May 30, 1974, from H. Joseph Hepford to James D. Barger. Committee is drawing to a close and would like input from Barger regarding recommendations for conclusions and legislative suggestions. Included is a copy of the "Governor's Review of Government Management" in March 1972, pages 38-41. A copy of the letter and pages was used as Exhibit T in Box 7, Folder 323. Letter, June 20, 1974, from H. Joseph Hepford to Israel Packel, Pennsylvania Attorney General. Regarding another letter sent to Hepford discussing possible coverup by James D. Barger. Letter, July 1, 1974, from H. Joseph Hepford to James D. Barger. Looking for advice from Barger on revising regulations concerning outside employment by police officers. The attached letter is from March 22, 1974 listing how officers may work outside the police force. Letter, July 3, 1974, from Israel Packel, Pennsylvania Attorney General, to H. Joseph Hepford. Responding to the June 20 letter. Packel will not investigate anonymous tips. Letter, July 3, 1974, from R.O. Wellendorf to H. Joseph Hepford. Hepford had previously written on July 1 asking about the status of Angelo Carcaci. Response is Carcaci has been reassigned to Milesburg ad further action will happen after the Committee and the Supreme Court come to a decision. Memo, July 8, 1974, from James D. Barger to all troops and commanders and directors. Subject: outside employment requests. Letter, July 11, 1974, from James D. Barger to H. Joseph Hepford. Barger forwarded a copy of the memo dated July 8, 1974 regarding outside employment requests. |
