Goode, Woodrow Wilson, 1938-

Wilson Goode was appointed by Philadelphia Mayor Bill Green as mayoral managing director (1979-1983). He was elected Mayor of Philadelphia as the first African American to serve the office (1984-1992). Later he served on the U.S. Deparment of Education and a minister and professor at Eastern University.
