1989 Manderino Speeches

There are two different messages in this recording. Both are in response to false claims and information from television stations.

The first is a message in response to Pittsburgh station WTAE. Rep. James Manderino feels they tried to create a legislative scandal. Legislators' televised statements were blanked out and taken out of context. The station claimed impropriety in automobile reimbursements.

The second is a message in response WTAE for characterizing Rep. James Manderino as sinister because he refused to speak with them. Rep. Manderino says his record shows he does speak with reporters. He was speaking with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh news reporters when WTAE claims he was avoiding their interview. WTAE also claimed Rep. Manderino is part of a kabal, a secret group that plotted to double Member’s pensions. He demands a retraction and apology for these lies.
